IE9: Student unable to record for audio question

Description

Using IE9, a student cannot record for an audio question.
Tested on both http://qa3-us.sakaiproject.org:8086/portal and http://nightly2.sakaiproject.org:8082/portal/.

To reproduce:
As the instructor, create a test with an audio question
Publish the test

As the student, log in using IE9
Open the test and try to record for the audio question

I can now record in IE9 (and listen to playback in the applet), but it takes many minutes before the file is saved after clicking Save/Close, making one think that nothing is happening. Info from Java Console below.

There is still a problem with playback on nightly with the 500 error (). If you want me to continue testing in other browsers, only for the ability to record and playback in the applet, let me know. If I should wait until Sam-1216 is fixed, let me know.

At this point I think more cross browser and cross platform testing is required to confirm that things work in all cases.
