Faculty and Teaching Assistants are often making decisions on how best to use their time grading assessments, so making data easily available can improve their workflow and efficiency. The Assignments window supports this by providing the In/New column in the Assignments overview page. This Jira proposes to add an additional set of data to the In/New column in favor of a In/New/Released column. Essentially not the addition of another column, but the surfacing of the underlying data revealing how many of the submissions and graded items have been released. This would allow TA’s and Faculty a way to focus attention on just those items that need grading and release. For example, some faculty assign TAs to assess low-end assessments, but then review and release them themselves (faculty). However, it is sometimes difficult, given multiple sections to recall where a faculty member would need to focus their review attention. Adding this data (of those graded submissions that have been released) would help instructors to focus their attention w/o having to click into each assignment only to release items, which may already be released (and therefore do not need to be reviewed).
