Notes, information and links about the California Digital Library and how it relates to Sakaibrary should go here.

The California Digital Library (CDL) has two projects of interest, the CDL Common Framework and the Metasearch Infrastructure Project, that deal with challenges Sakaibrary faces.

CDL Common Framework

Notes, information and links about the CDL Common Framework and how it relates to Sakaibrary should go here.

Metaseach Infrastructure Project

Notes, information and links about the CDL Metasearch Infrastructure Project and how it relates to Sakaibrary should go here.

MetaLib Access through XML (MAX)

A part of the Metasearch Infrastructure Project is the "MetaLib Access through XML (MAX)" project. The purpose of the MAX project is to provide a standardized method of accessing ExLibris's MetaLib metasearching product using the MetaLib X-Server. MAX is being designed to plug into the CDL Common Framework.

Much of the work being done on CDL's MAX is parallel to the work that needs to be done in Sakaibrary – implementing a MetaLib X-server version of the O.K.I. Repository OSID.

See the attached CDL MetaLib Access Through XML (MAX), version 0.4 document describing the CDL MAX framework.
