Adding Form Item to Resources

You may add a form item (or instance) to Resources for any form that has been added via the Forms tool. For information on adding forms, see Adding a Form.

To add a form item, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Resources tool and select an appropriate folder. In most cases, this will be your My Workspace Resources folder.
  2. Select New Form from the Add pulldown list for the folder to which you want to add the form item. Sakai displays the Select a Form screen.
  3. Select the appropriate form from the select box.
  4. To proceed, click Continue. Or, to exit without adding a form item, click Cancel. If you clicked Continue, Sakai displays the form you chose. The nature of the display will vary depending on the form.
  5. You have these options:
  • To proceed, fill out the form as usual and click Continue.
  • To return to the preceding screen and select another form, click Back.
  • To exit without adding a form item, click Cancel.

If you clicked Continue, Sakai displays the New Form Item screen. This screen can be used to edit properties of the newly created form item such as name, description, and accessibility. These properties can be modified later by going to Resources, locating the created form item, and selecting Edit Content under the Actions pulldown list. After completing the New Form Item screen as desired, select Finish to create the form item in Resources or Cancel to discard all progress on the current form item.
