Preliminary Use Cases for Files

To design how files are added and viewed in a page, we are looking for two types of input

Add Tasks: please add specific tasks in the tables below. If there are additional tasks, please post below, as new row. If you can't find an appropriate cluster, post in last table on this page. It may be that certain tasks are out of scope, or really part of a different idea altogether. I've started moving these to the second to the last table. I've also listed a few open issues at the very bottom.

Add Scenarios: Please add scenarios to this page. Scenarios are rich, contextual, specific stories (though with fictional users). If tasks in the kitchen include open a can, refrigerate item, cut item, the scenario that gives these contexts are stories like "Jill is making a fruit salad to take to the company picnic." To some degree, these scenarios are system agnostic.

I'm going to try to posting very preliminary sketches as we go. Looking at the earliest sketches in relation to the scenarios, I can see certain tasks that were initially missed, or that need to be grouped better due to their flow in the scenario. So both Tasks and Scenarios are important to insure coverage and to make sure we've got the right things grouped together in space and time.

A note: some tasks/scenarios might be slated for a future release. However, we still want to hear about them now so we can plan accordingly. In a kitchen analogy, we might want to plan for a future appliance, like a over the stove microwave, even if we aren't getting it right away.

Here is the schedule for File vignette design I will try to work towards, subject to change.

Group A

-Attach file that was previously uploaded to page		Screen above shows "media library" (name TBD) which are all. These can be filtered by type or tag, with another layer of filter to show files by owner and site. headers are used for sorting, there may be more
Add various numbers of files
-Add single file		see above. If that single file is a media file, you can also embed it inline, as opposed to putting it in a vignette box.
-Add multiple files (would this need to be accomplished in a fuller view or would a second "add" be required? probably depends on choice of display option below)		above allows selection of multiple files, but only from one filter. I need to adjust
Find relevant files to add

-(all use cases currently recorded seem to be for adding files--is this intentional? If not, this needs to be expanded)
