Because of some significant performance improvements and expanded capabilities, the UC Berkeley branch of the Roster tool was merged into the trunk after the official 2.4 release. At the same time community demand that the later version of the Roster be made readily available prior to the next official release led to the creation of a post-2.4 "Feature Release" branch.
