Simple Scorecard

Preliminary work on a simple scorecard for development efforts.

• User Experience

  • Follows UX Guidelines for coherent user experience across Sakai

  • Accessibility – meets some standard, or qualitative statement?

  • Internationalization and Localization – follows I&L Guidelines for coherent user experience across Sakai and adaptation/translation to new environments

• Development

  • Licensing – Meets Sakai licensing standards

  • Browser Support – compatible with all supported browsers (e.g., IE7, IE8, FF3, ?)

  • db compatibility – compatible with all supported dbs (e.g., mysql, Oracle, DB2)

  • Code Review practices

  • Testing practices

  • Coding practices (e.g., style)

  • Common design practices (e.g., use kernel or other standard Sakai services)

• Deployment

• Documentation

  • Project Site – Contribute to and help maintain standardized project site (on Confluence?) with information on status, plans, roadmap, contacts, designs, issue-tracking, etc.

• Community Support / Project Team Commitment

  • Depth – Minimum of three organizations committed to supporting the project

  • Diversity – Team members representing all aspects of building Sakai (e.g., design, development, testing, and documentation)
