Some other integration scenarios could include:

  1. Import / Export via formatted text files. This would include interchange formats based on standards provided by IMS, HR-XML, SIF, and others.
  2. Synchronization Tasks. These are tool level functions that wake up, query a database or other service, extract data, and use the regular Sakai APIs to populate / update data.

Linking into email archives

The email archive tool needs a way to produce a URL that will link directly to a particular archived email. This would allow it to be used in the way that the static HTML archives produced by tools like Pipermail can be used.
