Verify that the Samigo tool is can export, import and manage online question pools.

Users should be able to export assessments, import assessments, and cull questions from question pools.

setup:

start at:

Test & Quizzes tool page, Login: Instructor

1.

Select the Export link under Test 1

The Export Assessment page will be displayed

2.

Select the Export button (Note: The default export type is QTI v 1.2. Follow the directions here to save the file to your desktop.)

• Close the pop up window and Select the Refresh Arrows next to the Tests & Quizzes page header

The Test & Quizzes Assessment page will be displayed with Test 1 showing up in the following categories:

• Core Assessments
• Published Assessments
• Active (testing in progress)

Select the second course site.

• Select the Tests & Quizzes link from the page menu

The Test & Quizzes Assessment page will be displayed

4.

Select the Import button from the New Assessment section

The Import Assessment page will be displayed

5.

Select the Browse button

A File Upload pop up window will be displayed

Highlight the exportAssessment and select the Open button

The Import Assessment page will be displayed with the file path displayed in the Choose a File text box

7.

Select the Import button

The Test & Quizzes Assessment page will be displayed with Test 1 showing up in the following categories:

• Core Assessments
• Published Assessments
• Active (testing in progress)

Select the Question Pools link

The Question Pools page is displayed

9.

Select the Add New Pool link

The Add Pool page is displayed

10.

Enter the following information into the appropriate fields:

• Pool Name: Multiple Choice
• Dept/Group: Testing
• Description: Multiple choice test questions
• Objectives: (leave blank)
• Keywords: multiple, choice, questions, test
• Select the Save button

The Question Pools page is displayed with Multiple Choice listed under the Pool Name

Select the Refresh Arrows next to the Tests & Quizzes page header

The Test & Quizzes Assessment page will be displayed

Select the Test 1 link under Core Assessments

The Questions page for Test 1 will be displayed

Select the Edit link next to the Multiple Choice question (Question 1)

The Modify Question page will be displayed for the Multiple Choice question

Underneath the answers section select the drop down list for Assign to Question Pool and select Multiple Choice

• Select the Save button at the bottom of the page

The Questions page for Test 1 will be displayed

Select the Question Pools link

The Question Pools page is displayed
In the Questions column of the table the value should be 1

Select the Multiple Choice link

The multiple Choice question from Test 1 will be displayed under the Question Pool description

Select the Add link for Questions just above the questions table

The Add Question page will be displayed

18.

Select Multiple Choice from the drop down menu and then select the Save button

The Modify Question page will be displayed for the Multiple Choice question

19.

Create a Multiple Choice question

• Enter 5 in the Answer Point Value field
• Use the Rich Text fields to enter (1) question and (4) possible answers. Select the radio button next to the correct answer you've given.
• Select the Save button

The Question Pool: Multiple Choice page is displayed with 2 questions in it

Select the Refresh Arrows next to the Tests & Quizzes page header

The Test & Quizzes Assessment page will be displayed

Select the Test 1 link under Core Assessments

The Questions page for Test 1 will be displayed

Select Copy from Question Pool from the Add Question drop down list

The Question Pools page is displayed showing the Multiple Choice Question Pool

Select the Multiple Choice link under Pool Name

The Question Pool: Multiple Choice page is displayed with 2 questions in it

24.

Select the check box in the Copy? Column for the question that was created in Step 39.

• Select the Copy button on the bottom of the page

The Questions page for Test 1 will be displayed with the question added as Question 4

Select the Refresh Arrows next to the Tests & Quizzes page header

The Test & Quizzes Assessment page will be displayed

Select the Welcome tab from the tabs bar

The My Workspace page will be displayed
