Static code review

• How do we integrate static code reviews more directly
• What work flow change do we need to remove common bugs scattered relatively evenly over the whole code base
• Discuss/Advise on bug patterns that should be eliminated from the code base.
• Discuss/Advise on automatic removal of some bug patterns just before code freeze.
• Brainstorm over automating the QA process further
• How do we integrate Unit testing and the test managers into the QA process more directly?

Life cycle management

• Should we be concerned with supporting QA for contrib
• How can we support increase support for central QA further
• Has the way forward been agreed for branch management and what are the potential implications for QA [Probably already discussed elsewhere]
• How do we monitor the change of basic resource demands from Sakai as its functionality increases over releases
• How do we monitor the place in the life cycle of the underlying parts of Sakai.

Deliverables

• Advice sent out to the community on various issues.
• Modifications in QA work practices
• A more aggressive advocating and monitoring of unit testing as part of the definition of a core product
• A hit list of bug patterns that are worth the effort to remove
• Elimination of specific bug patterns within a given time frame
• Agreed changes in branch management or at least a time box to decision making
• A list of short-term actions and associated actors
