This page will help you to get started with Sakai QA (Quality_Assurance) testing easily and quickly.

As a QA Tester

You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches. This means you will have the fun and thrill of discovering the unknown, the unexpected, and if you meet one of these then stop right there. And write down the steps for others to have the same fun.

Let me give you an example:

Let’s say, “you are asked to create an account on Sakai LMS”,

You, Go to the “Sakai portal”,

Click on “New Account”

But guess what, you just met an unexpected. The “New Account” button is not working. and now you have to write down the steps so that others can reproduce this unexpected (Bug). Therefore, as a good QA tester and even better human being, You will create a Jira. How to create a Jira?

To get a Jira account, you will need to contact our wonderful team member @Wilma Hodges . She will set up a Jira and Slack account for you. but you need to subscribe to the SakaiQA group in Slack yourself. After creating your slack account just search for “sakaiqa” and subscribe.
