This proposed breakout session will focus on a review of current release management practices with respect to the creation of QA/Demo/RC tags as well as demo, binary and source releases in light of 1) the 2.5 switch from Maven 1 to Maven 2 and 2) the proposed use of the maven release plugin and the switch from M2 to SNAPSHOT. After a sanity check of current practices, discussion will turn to improving and, where possible simplifying, release management practices.
