20050815 University of Michigan, 15-19 August 2005

Our August installment of the Sakai-Dev meeting series will focus on CHEF migration to Sakai and Sakai deployment and development. Monday and Tuesday's sessions will focus on CHEF migration and tool development while Wednesday through Friday will focus on Sakai deployment and development.

Throughout the week there will be plenty of opportunities for people to go off in small groups and actually work on code.

There is no fee for this event – it is intended for developers working with CHEF and Sakai in pilot and production environments who have real technical problems to solve. Like the recent Yale meeting, the agenda will be very fluid with only a few presentations and short ad-hoc discussions. This is not a big Sakai meeting like the recent Baltimore or upcoming Austin conferences. This meeting is for people writing code and preparing for deployment.

If you are interested in attending, please send a message to Mary miles.

If you are interested in presenting a topic please send a note to Anthony Whyte. We prefer topics that are about working with the Sakai 2.0 release (development and production). We are less interested in "big picture" or "nifty technology" presentations--presentations of this type are more appropriate for the semi-annual Sakai conferences.

Current CHEF users who are planning to attend should send a note to Beth Kirschner and Mary Miles indicating which version of CHEF is in use and how large is your installation.
