Design Your Own Portfolio

Select the Portfolio site tab.

The Portfolio site home appears.

Create New Portfolio

Portfolio page displays with the "My Portfolios" tab being displayed

Click the Create New Portfolio link

Portfolios page displays any templates that are available and a Design your own portfolio option

Enter a name for your portfolio, select Design your own portfolio and click Create

Page displays with your portfolio title, the option to edit the title and/or the description, three tabs: Summary, Add/Edit Content, and Share With Others

Click the Add/Edit Content tab or link

Add/Edit Content tab becomes active with options to Add Page, Select Layout and Select Style

Click the Add Page link

Edit Page displays, with Title and Layout being mandatory

Enter a Title, click on the Select Layout link

Manage Portfolio Layouts page displays

Click the Select link beside the Content Over Text layout

Edit Page displays again with Content Over Text as the selected layout and an image displaying the layout type

Scroll down to add page content. After adding content, click Save Changes

Add/Edit Content tab displays, with icons to edit or remove the page just created.

Check the Page Navigation checkbox, then click Save Changes, and click the Preview the Portfolio link

Your portfolio page should display with the text/items added to it. Close this browser window.

Repeat steps 5 - 8, using different layouts each time. Then click Save Changes on the Add/Edit Content page and then Preview the Portfolio.

Verify that all pages display as expected for each type of layout.

Duplicate Portfolio

Select Duplicate from the Actions drop-down list

There should now be a copy of your portfolio in the list

Select Edit from the Actions drop-down list beside the copy of your portfolio

The page to edit the title, description, add/edit content, etc, displays

Click on Edit Title and rename the title to Copy 1... and click Save Changes

The new title should now be displayed at the top of the page

Click the Reset icon at the top of the page

The Portfolio page displays and you should see the new titles in the list

Preview the portfolio copy and the original

The content should be the same for both portfolios

Repeat steps 2 - 4 four times, changing the copy # in the title. Click the Reset icon.

You should now see five copies of the original portfolio in the list

Portfolio Settings

The following scripts use the portfolio copies made. The user is Participant1, who created the portfolios.

Portfolio Copy 1 - Sharing, Comments, Collaboration

Click Portfolios, then select Edit from the Actions drop-down list beside copy 1 of your portfolio

By default, the portfolio Status is Active and Comments are disabled. Change the Comments setting to Allow. Click the Share with Others link.

Add people to share with displays.

Select some of the users, including the one who will be Participant2. Click Add and return

Sharing with the following people displays, listing the users you just selected to share with.

Check the checkbox for Everyone I share this portfolio with may collaboratively contribute material, then click on the Reset icon.

The Portfolios page displays again and there should be a checkmark under the Active and Shared columns. Under the Comments column there should be a (0).

Portfolio Copy 2 - Sharing by email address

Enter an email address that is not associated with this site and click Add and return

Sharing with the following people displays the email address you just entered

The Portfolios page displays again and there should be a checkmark under the Active and Shared columns.

Portfolio Copy 3 - Sharing with the public

Click Portfolios, then select Share from the Actions drop-down list beside copy 1 of your portfolio

Check the checkbox for Everyone on the internet can see this portfolio, click on Show public URL, copy the URL and save it for later scripts, then click on the Reset icon.

The Portfolios page displays again and there should be a checkmark under the Active column and Public under the Shared column.

Portfolio Copy 4 - Sharing by picking roles related to this site

The Portfolios page displays again and there should be a checkmark under the Active and Shared columns.

Portfolio Copy 5 - Sharing with the site and public

Portfolio Access

You will need to log in as different participants for each script and test that you are able to access/not access the portfolios.

Portfolio Copy 1 - Participant2 Comments and Collaboration

Log in as Participant2 and click Portfolios, click on the Portfolios Being Shared with Me

Portfolios Being Shared with Me tab displays, listing all shared portfolios

Click on Portfolio Copy 1.

The portfolio site loads. Verify that you are able to access all pages.

At the bottom of the pages is a section for Comments. Enter three comments, each time selecting a different option for Make this comment visible to: Only Me, The Owner and I, Everyone. Click Submitcolor}

Verify that you are able to see all three comments you made.
