Verify that the assignments created by the Assignment tool can be submitted by students

User should be able to submit assignments and add attachments to the assignments

Course home page, Login: Student

1.

Select the Assignments tool link

The Assignments page is displayed with a list of assignments

2.

Select Assignment 1

User directed to Assignment. In Progress view

3.

Enter text into the text field and Select the Preview button

User should be directed to the Assignment. Preview page with the pertinent text and attached file

4.

Select the Save Draft button

User directed to the Saved Submission Confirmation page where a notification says: You have successfully saved your work.

5.

Select the OK button

User directed to the Assignment List page where Assignment 1 should be listed with a Status of Draft - In progress

6.

Select Assignment 1

User should be directed to the editable view for Assignment 1's submission

7.

Select the Submit button

The Submission Confirmation page is displayed

Select the OK button

The Assignments page is displayed with a list of assignments and the status for Assignment 1 should display the time and date that the assignment was submitted

Select Assignment 1

User should be directed to the Assignment. Submitted view

10.

Select the refresh arrow icon

User should be directed to the Assignment List page

Select Assignment 3

User directed to Assignment. In Progress view

Select the Add Attachments button

User directed to the Add Attachment page

Select the Show other sites link in the Select a resource section
Select the AM HIS1 1 Resources folder

The AM HIS1 1 Resources folder is opened and four resources are displayed:

• resources.doc
• resources.jpg
• resources.mp3
• resources.xls

Select the Attach a copy link for resources.doc

The Add Attachment page is refreshed with resources.doc displayed in the Items to attach section

15.

Select the Continue button

The Assignment is shown and the file attached is shown under Attachments

Select the Submit button

The Submission Confirmation page is displayed

17.

Select the OK button

The Assignments page is displayed with a list of assignments and the status for Assignment 3 should display the time and date that the assignment was submitted

18.

Select the Help button icon

A popup window should appear opened to the Assignments Tool Overview section of the Help documentation

19.

Close the Help popup window

User should see the Assignment List page
