A continuation of a discussion started at the JA-SIG Unconference between both uPortal community members and some FLUID representatives - this BOF is intended to gather interested parties in integrating portals and LMS's (particularly Sakai .
The scope of the BOF is intended continue work:
- summarize current work in the space
- defining the needs and audiences for integration
- determining general cases for integration
- looking at specific opportunities or techniques for integration
- collecting interested individuals for building hooks on both ends, possibly as part of a larger HigherEducation portlet initiative.
This session might also be interesting for people interested in integration with Facebook, OpenSocial, micro-formats, RSS, or other scenarios.
