More at the walking and hiking end of the spectrum than outright running. Doing something that launches on foot from the hotel is more appealing to me, even though the views and terrain will be more pedestrian, for the sheer convenience of being able to informally group by desired length, bail from the event, etc., without coordinating transport to/from.

+1 Walking and/or hiking. Starting from the hotel for a walk at back bay may be a good start and does not need hiking gear to walk on the pavemeent. Another walk/hike requires driving away from the hotel, and I can't provide that. At Crystal Cove/El Moro Canyon , Green and Red may be fine for a morning or afternoon hike; Blue may be too long for a half day. Aliso and Woods Canyon may still be closed because of the storm (see their 11/30 alert). BTW, I'm already at NB.
