Introduction

OpenSyllabus (shortly called or OSYL) is a is a Model-based Rich Web Editor aimed at creating and editing easily and in a structured way course Syllabus. In this section, you will learn structured course Syllabi, or course outlines.

The purpose of this documentation is to explain how the Sakai platform could be has been combined with the Google Web Toolkit (GWT) to build fast "desktop-like" (or Web 2.0) applications that run in a browser.

We will also explain how OSYL has been integrated as a normal Sakai tool .You will also learn how to take advantage of and how standard Java tools like Eclipse to allow state of the art software engineering.Many of the information presented here that originated from a former presentation done in July 2008 at the 9th SAKAI Conference in Paris, France.
