Track Sessions
Teaching, Learning, Research and Portfolios
Sakai exists to improve the quality of teaching, learning and research. Please share case studies of effective teaching, research, assessment and collaboration practices as well as new approaches to technology-enabled teaching and research. Please also consider topics for faculty members who are getting started with Sakai.
Software Design and Development
Sharing is critical among the development community. Please share development projects, design approaches, usability and accessibility improvement plans and projects. Topics may also include best practices in design and development approaches that could be incorporated into Sakai in the future. Please also consider topics for new developers who are getting started with Sakai
Expanded Solutions
Beyond Sakai there is a complex ecosystem of systems and tools that support teaching, learning and research. Please share your experiences and successes integrating other solutions with Sakai to expand the benefit to your faculty and students. Share other open source projects that could expand Sakai.
Technical Management
Deploying, supporting and managing Sakai is critical to its success. Please share your best practices and approaches in creating and maintaining Sakai successfully for your users. Please also consider topics for technical administrators who are getting started with Sakai.
Leadership and Future Directions
Sakai is an element within your broader strategy and goals. How are institutions using Sakai to achieve strategic goals? What changes and opportunities on the horizon should be influencing the direction of the community? What other trends, advances and challenges should become part of our community planning and dialogue? Please consider topics for leaders who are in the process of evaluating Sakai and assessing strategic fit.
