Discussion of the scope for the OSP 2.4 release. Consider that the release is planned for the April 2007 timeframe and the code freeze for the release is on March 15th. List items that you believe are important to include in the upcoming release. Ultimately the scope will be determined by the folks who commit to work on the 2.4 project, the resources available, and the time constraints.
Draft Scope
- OSP Reports
- UI rework to make OSP easier to use (consistency, clarity on workflows between tools, etc.)
- Improve ability to change objects once created (Matrices, Forms, etc.)
- Design the personal presentation portfolio experience (the individual user's ability to collect, organize, and showcase work in a creative way... In My Workspace)
- No changes that require difficult migration. Commit to building all migration scripts for a seamless upgrade from 2.2.x)
- Ship with good example Forms, Templates, etc.
- Ability to export stuff and import it into another instance of the software (maybe even collections of stuff - i.e. Forms and portfolios that are designed to work together)
