The goal of the Sakaibrary project is to integrate the metasearching features of MetaLib and SIRSI SingleSearch into Sakai. MetaLib provides an API to its for the MetaLib X-Server, that which allows developers to invoke MetaLib's metasearching services through HTTP.
Our efforts are concentrated on using the X-Server and SIRSI SingleSearch in conjunction with the O.K.I. Respository OSID to design and build a mechanism for plugging in metasearch engines into Sakai.
