Invitation to the 2nd European Sakai Conference, (4)-5-6 May 2009Stockholm University is proud to invite you to the 2nd European Sakai Conference, to be held in Stockholm May 5-6 2009. On May 4th there is also a Programmer's café for developers that are new to Sakai. Sakai, being a collaboration and learning platform, mainly in higher education, has matured in just a few years. A strong community stand behind the project and with over a hundred institutions and commercial affiliates around the world, the project has proven to deliver a constantly improving concept with a learning and teaching platform, a portfolio suite and other collaboration tools. The main focus of the present conference will be at different aspects of implementation, focused on newcomers interested in Sakai, head of IT departments, developers but also university teachers. There will be parallel tracks including an introduction to Sakai, presentations on specific Sakai tools, user support, implementation as so on. Conference dates are May 5-6th 2009, with a pre-conference workshop for programmers on May 4th.
We start on May 5th 2009 with lunch. In the evening there will be a social event. Wednesday May 6th will be a full day.

We're looking forward to proposals on implementing Sakai, localisation, Bologna, etc. The proposals should be less than 200 words and sent in before March 31st.
